what age is it ok to feed a baby french fries?

now before everyone starts acting like children, i only ask because i had a family service worker comment on the fact that i had fed my 7 month old french fries from mc donalds. and no i didnt leave her alone while she ate them only an idiot would do something like that, i let her pretty much just suck on them to get the taste, and she made it seem like i was tryin to hurt her or something.

A:

My son probably sarted on them around 9mo buts that's when he started solids altogether. My sisters has 3 kids and with her last one she started giving them to her at 5mo, she would bite of the hard ends.

I think it's fine and no one knows your kid but you. And if know she's ready then she's ready. I used to freak people out because my son was eating hard candy like gobstopers and pepper mints at 15 months. But I knew he was fine with them and he was, he never had a problem with them.

The social work is just used to being super critical of everything, it's her job... But you sound like a great mom :)

Edit:
WoW, these answers right here are proof the media propaganda really does work. "the salt!" "addiction!" "obesity!" "OMG McDonalds!" lol these people have totally bought into everything they have ever heard on tv, it's things like "Super Size Me" and the news constantly saying "Is fast food causing obesity in our country? Experts say your weight is not you fault" while showing pictures of fat people walking down the street, that screw up everyones way of thinking and makes them crawl into little holes.

Just ignore these organic vegen hippie wannabes whose kids wont get their first piece of candy till their 16 and will be raised inside the smallest box you've ever seen.
