Post Partum breast leaking? HELP ME!!!?

I had a baby one month ago and I am not breastfeeding. Yet my breast still leak. Especially when I get out the shower. I don't express milk or anything so why is this happening? I thought it was supposed to dry up. I'm going back to school next week and it will be embarrassing if they start leaking then. Someone tell me what's going on? Why the haven't dried up yet or will they? And advice on what I can do?!!

A:

it takes abut 6 months (sometimes longer) for milk to fully disappear, but you should have less leaking as time goes on. In the meantime, use pads or folded men's handkerchiefs in your bra. You can also try cold cabbage leaves in your bra (now) and a decongestant when you go back to school if you are still having a problem then. You can also drink sage or peppermint tea.

Your body expects to be nursing a baby for a year or longer, so milk doesn't just disappear over night. Be patient-it will dry up eventually.
