And teething an theorfore drooling alot an her mouth stays wet where her pacifier is. An she has a bad rash on her chin? What do I do for it? A:Vaseline, plain old Vaseline, 3 or 4 times a day, as it's an oil-jelly and provides a barrier. Don't put diaper creams on the face, for goodness sakes! Bad idea!!! Not made for the sensitive face, near the mouth....it can get in her mouth! Terrible advice, sorry, but it's true. Read the warnings, hello.Aquaphore is fine, but only if it the clear petroleum jelly type (not lotion), but it is thicker than Vaseline, and more expensive. You need to be sure to melt it in your fingers before applying to that sensitive raw skin. Make sure her rash is rinsed clean before applying, using clear, cool water and your fingers. And pat dry with a clean, soft towel, then apply the petroleum jelly (Vaseline or Aquaphor). Newer news items:
