I was a colic baby, does it stay?

I was born colic, and ever since I can remember, there were things that I couldn't eat because it would bother my belly. My parents told me it would bother me, but I don't believe them. So if you were born colic are there still away that your belly hurts over something you eat or drink. Or does the colic part just goes away forever after your 3 months old? I wanted to know this because I was never allowed to have anything with oranges and in the past week I ate a whole box of them, and now I'm in so much pain and feeling really sick!! Just let me know :)
