My baby's almost two months old and ive been nursing her. At one point it got easier but for the most part, every meals a battle. I never know if she's full or how much she ate. She's been gaining steadily so I'm not worried about her starving....it's jet mentally and physically draining for me. I know that nursing has many benefits for the baby so I feel guilty stopping. If I stop now will those two months have been a waste?
Also, she takes one formula bottle a day so I'm not worried about her not liking it.

Am I a horrible mother if I stop nursing? |
A:If it's too much for you emotionally and physically, then it's ok to stop. It's important for both mom and baby to enjoy that time and if it's more stressful on mom to nurse the baby will pick up on that tension.Your baby got 2 full months of valuable milk. That's wonderful! If you want you can nurse just once a day if that's not too much stress, but if you need to switch over to formula completely then do so :) I'm all for breast feeding and I encourage it, but no mom is horrible for formula feeding. I can think of many many worse things a mom could do to a child than just not breast feed. Newer news items:
