My son is 8 months old and his first tooth just cut through his gums. He doesn't want to eat and he's only drinking about 16-18 ounces of formula daily. Is this normal or should I be concerned. I'm planning on calling his doctor in the morning, I just wanted to get some idea from the other moms out there. A:Don't be too concerned. Loss of appetite is a very normal thing to occur around teething time. Just coax him to and eat small amounts mashed up so it's easier on his gums. Don't worry, you wouldn't be a good parent if you didn't worry! |

My 5 month old baby has a definite pattern, but I'd like to get it earlier. She wakes up around 9:30/10 naps at 11 and at 3/4 for 30 minutes to an hour each nap then usually does a tiny nap somewhere around 8/9. To bed between 10-11. Nurses at 4:30-5, nurses at 7:30 (these two are pretty predictable). It works well since I am at home with her and my husband works late, but I'd like to have her to be at least by 9. I've tried putting her down earlier each... |

And teething an theorfore drooling alot an her mouth stays wet where her pacifier is. An she has a bad rash on her chin? What do I do for it? A:Vaseline, plain old Vaseline, 3 or 4 times a day, as it's an oil-jelly and provides a barrier. Don't put diaper creams on the face, for goodness sakes! Bad idea!!! Not made for the sensitive face, near the mouth....it can get in her mouth! Terrible advice, sorry, but it's true. Read the warnings... |

A:Try prenatal tea instead of prenatal pills. Eat once every two hours. For me sprite and crackers were amazing. Ginger has been known to calm the stomach. If nothing helps, talk to you doc about taking emetrol. It's an over the counter medicine that helps with nausea. |
